Appeal Process

Winnipeg Transit Plus has an appeal process. If you disagree with an eligibility decision made on your file, you have 30 days from the date of the decision to appeal. To request an appeal you can call the contact center at 204-986-5722 .


The following individuals sit on the appeal panel: a medical doctor retained by the City, the manager of Client Services Division, ( or designate) and a third person designated by the Director of Transit. Prior to your appeal date you will receive a copy of the notes concerning your application that will be provided to the members of the appeal panel.

Although this is a formal process, the setting is informal. You may present the reasons supporting your appeal verbally and/or in writing. You are welcome to have a family member or friend accompany you.
